English Week (2025–2026)
English Week (2025–2026), held from 18th to 25th March, brought a vibrant series of activities to our campus as students explored English through competitions, games, film appreciation, and drama.
Day 1 – Book Presentations, S1 Tongue Twister Competition & S2/S3 Spelling Bee
The week opened with book presentations conducted by our English Reading Ambassadors, followed by the S1 Tongue Twister Competition and the S2/S3 Spelling Bee, where students demonstrated confidence, preparation, and strong language skills. Guests from Ho Shun Primary School (Sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen) joined the event, adding to the lively atmosphere.
Day 2 – Games Day
Students of S1-S5 visited a variety of English themed booths designed and managed by S3 and S4 students during the Games Day, completing challenges on idioms, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and more. Scrabble matches with teachers, our students and visiting students from Ho Shun Primary School added to the excitement.
Day 3 – Film Appreciation
A relaxing lunchtime screening of Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers offered students an enjoyable midweek break in the English Corner.
Day 4 – English Drama Performance: Memory Trial
A highlight of the week was the original drama ‘Memory Trial’, which was written by four students from S2 and S3 and performed by students from S1 to S3 as part of an intensive drama course. Their expressive storytelling and teamwork impressed the audience, including guests from Ho Shun Primary School.
Day 5 – Film Appreciation
Students returned to the English Corner for a second screening, Wallace & Gromit: A Close Shave, enjoying another cheerful lunchtime session.
Day 6 – S4 Trivia Quiz & S5 Voice-over Competition
The week concluded with the S5 Voice-over Competition, where students showcased creativity and expressive delivery, followed by the S4 Trivia Quiz, a fast-paced challenge testing English proficiency and general knowledge.
As English Week came to an end, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all student helpers, participants, the English Society, and English teachers for their dedication and support. We look forward to another inspiring English Week next year.
