HKU Information Day for UG Admissions2024-10-26 (Saturday)The career department organized an insightful tour for students to attend the Hong Kong University Info Day on October 26. This event provided students with a valuable opportunity to explore their university options and gain a deeper understanding of their prospective academic paths. In addition to the information sessions, students participated in various workshops, and talks to gain insight regarding the faculty. These interactive sessions allowed students to engage actively, ask questions, and receive personalised feedback from career advisors, and university representatives. By interacting with faculty members, current students, and program representatives, attendees were able to gather information that would aid them in making informed decisions about their future development. Overall, the tour and workshops proved to be enriching experiences, empowering students to envision their educational journeys and career aspirations more clearly.
World Restart a Heart Day2024-10-12 (Saturday)“World Restart a Heart Day 2024” is organized by the Hong Kong Red Cross and co-organized by SADS HK Foundation. On 21 September 2024, the Hong Kong Red Cross arranged first-aid instructors to provide training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for 25 students at school and helped them register as Heart Ambassadors.
20 students also attended the “World Restart a Heart Day 2024 - Mass CPR Demonstration Event” on 12 October 2024. The event aims to strengthen participants' understanding and confidence in using CPR and AED, and to encourage the public to bravely lend a helping hand in critical moments. This event included a recognition ceremony to thank the support and contributions of the campus Heart Ambassadors. Students also participated in a mass CPR demonstration.
50th Anniversary Joint School Chinese Language Lecture2024-10-04 (Friday)To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ho Fung College and to enhance the Chinese writing skills of senior form students for better preparation for the HKDSE, Sik Sik Yuen specially organised a joint-school Chinese language examination preparation lecture. The event was graced by a guest lecturer from the Education University of Hong Kong, former Assistant Principal of Ho Fung College, Mr. Chu Chong Hok, who delivered a lecture on writing.

Junior Form Drama English Programme2024-07-15 (Monday)The English Department held a Junior Form Drama Training Programme from February 2024 to July 2024. Students analysed the drama scripts and acting techniques, connected to their own experiences as well as doing casting and rehearsals for a public showcase of ‘Fifty/Fifty’. ‘Fifty/Fifty’ was shown at Sheung Wan Civic Centre Theatre on 13 July 2024. Students applied the knowledge of stage management and drama performance skills that they had learnt from the programme.

Visit to Government Laboratory2024-07-10 (Wednesday)This year, a visit to the Government Laboratory in Ho Man Tin has been organized for our 15 F.5 students who study Chemistry. The Government Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, particularly in respect of analytical instrumentation, security of operations and management of laboratory waste.
During the visit, a laboratory tour and some hand-on activities were arranged. These allowed our students to understand how the government laboratory provides a wide range of analytical, investigatory and advisory services and support to enable the HKSAR Government to meet the responsibilities for law and order, food safety, public health, environmental protection and consumer protection.
It is hoped that the visit can enhance students’ interest and knowledge of laboratory-related work and the entry requirements of such a career.

Fun-filled carnival for pre-primary 1 students2024-06-29 (Saturday)The fun-filled carnival was successfully held on 29th June at the school hall of Ho Fung College. The activity was jointly organized by Ho Shun Primary School, Ho Fung College and Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre. Four game booths about English language were set up by our Form 2 students, while a balloon twisting booth was held by the Interact Club. The carnival brought a lot of happiness to the children who were promoting to primary one.
Seoul Economics and STEM Study Tour2024-06-27 To 07-30From 27th to 30th June 2024, thirty Economics, BAFS and ICT students participated in a 4-day study tour in Seoul. The tour included visits to Hyundai Motorstudio, the Samsung Innovation Museum, the Korea Exchange, the Bank of Korea Money Museum and the Gas Science Museum. In addition, participants had a chance to interact with Korean students at Seoul National University, which provided valuable opportunities for them to exchange ideas with students there. In short, students gained a multifaceted understanding of Korea's economic strengths and its potential for continued innovation and development from the tour.

2023 – 2024 S5 Biology Field Study Course2024-06-27 (Thursday)On 27 June, our S5 biology students went on a field trip. In the morning, they were on a field study on freshwater stream in Mui Wo. It was followed by the subsequent laboratory work in Cheung Chau in the afternoon. It was a fruitful, meaningful and enjoyable learning trip. All the students were engaged and motivated. They learnt proactively from the hands-on experience while interacting with nature.
Augmented Reality (AR) course (elementary level)2024-06-27 (Thursday)Our school has received funding from the "IT Innovation Lab in Schools" to organize an Augmented Reality (AR) course, which is divided into two parts: elementary and advanced levels. The elementary part was successfully held on 27th June. On that day, all S1 and S2 students brought their own devices (iPads) to the school hall and received 5 hours of training. Eight professional instructors introduced the principles of AR to the students and guided them to create their own AR projects with applications (Quiver and Reality Composer). Students were invited to share their works. During the process, the students were motivated and engaged, and some of the works produced were exceptionally impressive and worthy of commendation.
