2023-04-01IdeaPOP! 2023 Hong Kong Secondary School Students Startup Pitch Competition

IdeaPOP! is a startup pitch competition for all secondary school students in Hong Kong who are creative and eager to build innovation and entrepreneurship spirits and gain startup preincubation experience beyond classroom.

100 entering teams had the chance to undergo a series of mentorship and training workshops from December last year to March this year. The semi pitch was held on 25th March. 10 finalists competed for the champion through the following five criteria on 1st April:
Creative & Innovative Idea, Social Impact, Commercial Viability and Sustainabiliy, Pitch Deck Design, Pitch Performance.

Our school team won the Overall Champion, Audience Vote Award, Excellence in Innovative Use of Technology Award in their project, Larps in Museum. The team members are

2023-03-08Author Talks (Zeno Sworder, Sachiko Kashiwaba)

Our school has invited two authors, Mr. Zeno Sworder and Ms. Sachiko Kashiwaba (accompanied by novel translator Ms. Avery Fischer Udagawa), through Hong Kong International Literary Festival to organize talks:
"Zeno Sworder, Who Has a Story to Tell" - 6th March, 2023
"Sachiko Kashiwaba, Why Everyone Should Read World Children's Literature" - 10th March, 2023.
Students were thoroughly engaged throughout the talks and actively participated in the Q&A sessions. Both authors' works are now available for students to borrow in the school library.

2023-03-04Parents' Workshop: How to Improve Children\'s Self-confidence and Self-learning Ability

PTA is honored to invite Mrs. Mak Ho Siu Kuen, Silvia to run a workshop on "How to Improve Children\\'s Self-confidence and Self-learning Ability". During the workshop, Mrs. Mak shared with us her experience in nurturing children and improving their children\\'s learning attitude, followed by tips of how to face adversity, and the skills to motivate children’s learning. Parents were actively engaged. After the workshop, the parents expressed that they benefited a lot.

6A Hung Kin Hang won the Outstanding Youth Volunteer Award at the Hong Kong Volunteer Award, a territory-wide scheme launched in 2022.

The S1 Information Day 2022 on December 3, 2022 was graced by the presence of more than 1000 guests coming to our school to understand us more thoroughly and experience in person our vitality and hospitality that make our school unique.

6A Jackson Hung (Senior Session) and 4C Mandy Lee (Junior Session) were awarded as one of the recipients of the Outstanding Student of New Territories in Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung and Tsing Yi Districts Outstanding Students Award 2022/23 4D Carmen Tsang (Junior Session) was awarded a merit prize in the above competition. Congratulations to all awardees.

2022-10-14S2 Drama 'Robin Hood' Appreciation

Dovetales performs the drama 'Robin Hood' to S2 students for drama appreciation. Students were actively engaged and expressed interest in drama performance.

2022-10-08Parent Volunteers Experience Sharing Workshop

During the Sharing Workshop, new and alumni parent volunteers gathered together and shared their understanding of volunteer service. Ms Wong Hiu Wing was then invited to introduce how parent volunteers assist the school in organizing activities, followed by the Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association introducing the regular duties of parent volunteers. After that, future events of PTA were presented experience as well. At last, some experienced parent volunteers shared their experiences in volunteering.
