Following weeks of intensive training, the 11 participants visited the SCMP headquarters on 9 July 2026. During the visit, they gained valuable insights into newsroom operations and stepped behind the camera to experience the excitement of being a news anchor firsthand. Inside a professional news studio, students took turns in the anchor’s chair to present and film their original news reports under professional lighting and camera setups. Learning to remain calm, poised, and camera-ready offered our young learners invaluable and hands-on exposure to the world of broadcast journalism.
It was a truly eye-opening and enriching learning experience for our junior form students.
