The 46th Speech Day was held on 24 May 2025. Our latest cohort of graduates returned to school and celebrated their achievements. Our distinguished guests, members of the Incorporated Management Committee, and parents attended the ceremony to share the happiness with the graduates.
In his welcome speech, School Supervisor and Director of Sik Sik Yuen Board of Directors, Mr. Kwong Man Hang encouraged graduates to strive harder, seize new opportunities and restart a journey.
Our Guest of Honour, Dr. Leung Wan Shun, Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Health Technology and Informatics at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, delivered the keynote address to the graduates. As a distinguished alumnus of the school, he shared three real-life stories to encourage graduates to embrace and cherish the present opportunities. He finished the speech with a famous quote: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift... that's why they call it present.”
Mr. Yiu Ka Tung, Vice Chairman of Sik Sik Yuen and Chairman of the Education Committee, gave a speech to encourage graduates by highlighting several elements that could help them pursue their dreams: artificial intelligence, language mastery, mental health & resilience, and Chinese culture. Mr. Yiu shared invaluable insights on how Confucianism, Buddhism and Daoism could be seamlessly integrated into our life journey, offering practical wisdom and guidance.
After the ceremony, So Cheuk Ying from Class 6C spoke on behalf of the graduates to express their profound gratitude. She conveyed their heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering support and guidance provided by the School, the former and the current principals, parents, and teachers throughout their secondary school journey.
As the ceremony drew to a close, a piano performance and a string quartet given by fellow schoolmates were dedicated with best wishes for our graduates’ future.
