S.4 Parents’ Day

Report cards were delivered on the occasion. Parents could better understand the students’ performance at school through conversation with the class teachers. Parents could also talk to the school social worker or teachers from the School Discipline Section and the Student Counselling Section by appointment. In addition, statistics of different forms and subjects were shown at the School Hall for parents’ perusal.

Furthermore, a seminar on S3 Students’ elective selection was held, briefing the participants on the NSS curriculum, the School’s S. 4 curriculum structure, individual electives, the learning requirements of individual subjects, the subject selection procedures and arrangement, etc.

It was part of the “Passing on the Torch” National Education Activity Series organized by Education Bureau. A total of 225 participants from the School joined the program, including all S.2 students, their class teachers and parent-volunteers.

Hong Kong Odyssey of the Mind Programme (OMP) 2010

 

OMP was co-organised by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and the Education Bureau.

The School was the champion in Vehicular Problem <Nature Trail’r> Division III, and represented Hong Kong to attend the World Finals in Michigan State University of the United States held at late May.

Also, the School was the 1st Runner-up in Technical Problem <Return to the Gift of Flight> Division III, whereas 3C Lam Ka Hei won the Excellence Award in 2010 Hong Kong Odyssey Pin Design Competition.

UNSW (Australia) International Competition and Assessment (ICAS)

7 students attained High Distinction in the assessment and 50 students attained Distinction.

Volunteer Movement 2008, organized by The Steering Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service, Social Welfare Department

There were 342 volunteers from the School with the total service hours of 11,890 hours.

  • The School was awarded the Gold Certificate For Organization/Corporation (Award of 10,000 Hours for Volunteer Service)
  • 9 volunteers were awarded the Gold Certificate For Individual Volunteers (Award of 200 Hours for Volunteer Service)
  • 36 volunteers were awarded the Silver Certificate For Individual Volunteers (Award of 100 Hours for Volunteer Service)

Release of the HKALE results

 

It was the School’s 31st time to participate in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE). 58 Students took part with the pass rate of 91.4% – 1 student attained Level A in three subjects and 6 students attained Level A in two subjects; while there were total 125 distinctions with the distinction rate of 45.6%.

Release of the HKCEE results

186 students attained Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language, as well as attained E or above in three other subjects, which made up 96% of the total participants.

205 students attainted Level 4 in Chinese Language and English Language, whereas there were total 496 distinctions in other subjects.

- 2 students attained Level A/ 5* in eight subjects.
